| Your letter some time back
was received & I immediately went in search of your tin, I found
lying in the Petg rail-road Depot 99 Boxes, of which 10 were in bad
order, I shipped the 90 Boxes by river & advised you of the
Shipment by mail which has never reached you. I made additional
inquiries and find that the Barge which contains the tin has not left
our Dock yet it not having enough freight to complete its load but
will probably leave in a day or two. The RR Co refuses to have the ten
Boxes repaired they having received them in their present condition,
shall I have them repaired & forward to you |
