| I have just finished an
examination of the various points upon the R. & D. and S. S.
Railroads {Richmond & Danville RR and South
Side RR} at which you have commenced fortifications. I find
that you have made just such dispositions and plans -- in all
material points -- as I should have made myself, and I expect to
complete the works according to your design without alteration. |
