Shall I order the 3d Regiment Jr. Reserves to report to
Col. Famo, Wadesboro the terminus of Wilmington and Rutherford R. R.
{Wilmington, Charlotte & Rutherford RR. The
eastern part of the RR had been constructed and was in use from
Wilmington to Old Hundred (10 miles west of Laurinburg). If the road had
been completed to Wadesboro, another 14 miles, it is not in any document
I have found} is a fruitful country that has not been yet touched
this Region is exhausted. |
