| Upon the receipt of your telegram of the 9th instant,
Capt Morfit was instructed to ascertain if the iron could be obtained
from the {Richmond &} York River Rail Road.
He reports that there is none to be procured from that road. You are
reminded of the impropriety of telegraphing in regard to matters of
which you are not informed. |
