| In reply to your communication of the
13th, relative to the inadequate compensation received by your Road, I
have to inform you that, a Rail Road Convention is now in session in
this city, and that the whole subject will be reviewed by that body. |
| I have no power to modify the rates
allowed, the authority over Rail Road transportation having been
exercised by Colonel Wadley, since December last. |
