NA, QMR 11/27/1861

Richmond
November 27th 1861

States he has received a telegram from Majr Harman asking for transportation for 4 Regts from Buffalo Gap to Manassas. The former point is 10 miles west of Staunton. Suggests that troops be mustered from that point to the Western Terminus of the Manassas Gap rail road, as he has not rolling stock sufficient to carry them.
H. D. Whitcomb  Supt Va. Central R. R.
{This makes no sense; someone may be confusing Staunton and Strasburg}
