| Acknowledging the receipt of the circular
letter of 13th ulto that the Govt will pay the R. R. the rates
established by the Chattanooga Convention on the 4th Octr last. Accepts
the rates proposed as the measure of their charges for transportation of
the Confederate States' freight. Are willing to be held to strict
accountability for all damages to or loss of freight, subject to the
usual exceptions. |
