Dear Sir,
   Your order of March 24th to Jas. P. Wood Esq Pres't was handed me this morning. The Profiles Maps description of Road Location &c were all destroyed by fire at the time our offices were burned in July last and recently coming on the Road and having no means of giving you the desired information as soon as you may wish but will as the best I can in the limited time given me. 
   Our Road is 131 miles long from Memphis to Paris it has no Branches operated by this Company it has 4 turn tables one located at Memphis one at Brownsville one at Humbolt one at Paris and as occasion may offer can use the one at McKenzie Belonging to the Nashville & North Western R. R. Co
   We cross the Mobile & Ohio R R at Humbolt. The Nashville & Nor Western R R at McKenzie and connect with the Memphis Clarksville & Louisville RR at Paris
   The Road crosses Bayou Gayoso in Memphis Wolf River 10 miles east of Memphis -- Clear Creek 22 miles from Memphis between Shelby & Withe -- Loosa Hatohie River 27 miles from Memphis between Withe & Galloways Big Hatchie with a draw Bridge 50 miles from Memphis -- between Stauton & Brownsville South fork of Forkaden 68 miles from Memphis -- between Jones & Rolls Middle Fork of Forkaden 80 miles from Memphis Between Gadsden & Humbolt Rutherfords fork of Obion River 97 miles from Memphis between Milan & Tezavant Reedy Creek & North Fork of Obion 109 miles from Memphis between Tezanant & McKenzie
   There is at various places on the Road trestle work the most of which is in Big Hatchie Bottom.
   The Stations are located at some of the Principal Roads crossing the country and the Station buildings are located at the crossings The Trenton Road as it is known by crosses about Half Way between Milan & Tezevant. The Jackson Road crosses one mile East of Humbolt
   There are 18 Stations -- Memphis being the principal one and has 5000 ft of side tracks. Union Station has 900 ft side tracks

   A Y. switch at Humbolt connecting with Mob & Ohio RR also Y switch at McKenzie connecting the Nash & Nor West. R. R. the Road at the Present time is regularly operated as far as Humbolt and one train is run beyond Humbolt as far as Henry Station by order of and under control of the Military authorities
   The Equipment of the road is not of the first class
   We own in all 13 Locomotives 2 of which are in shop for Repairs caused by collisions -- one being laid by for want of material to Rebuild one in shop undergoing ordinary Repairs -- one in need of Repairs is used in the yard here for switching one on wood & material train leaving only 3 Passenger & 3 Freight Locomotives in ordinary Repair to operate the Road with 
   We have 13 first class Passenger Cars 3 Baggage Cars 3 Express Cars 70 Box Cars & Stock Cars 75 flat or platform cars there are at Present only 17 Box Cars 3 Stock Cars 20 Platform Cars in running order on the Road leaving us short of our own cars since the war began over one hundred box stock & flat cars -- there were a great number of our cars on the East side of the Tennessee River at the destruction of the Bridge I learn that a great many have been loaded at Bowling Green & Nashville with army supplies & gone to Points south & east -- some of these we have need repairs -- one passenger & Baggage & Express cars are safe & in good order
   I send you the last time table also a copy of last annual Report and will advise you of any all changes in schedule or Freight tariffs
