| Your favor of the 13 ??? should have ???
attention, but my absence at the west prevented, and I am in too great a
hurry to reach Richmond to make any appointment for a meeting. The best
arrangement that could be made to carry out your desires would be for
the Macon & Western Rail Rd Co to buy the cars you speak of, when, if
they ??? proper, you might use them as you suggest. All the cars that
have come under my control were sold to some road, a policy that my
experience satisfies and is correct, and if I have the disposition of
the ??? cars you mention I would pursue the second plan with them, but
as I have no authority over them it is out of my power to use them as
you desire even if I were so inclined. |
