| Your favor of the 11th is before me & will
state in reply that Mess. Sufbimon & Timmons can furnish wheels only:-
the axles & springs would have to be procured elsewhere. The Several RR
Companies are the only parties that have them. |
| The Etowah Co. are rolling our axles for
cars, which we are building for them, you had better make application to
them, thro the Prest. Wm. T. Quinby, Esq. |
| I could build the cars for you by the time
you could procure Springs & axles -- at 33 prc/
{%} on cost. I would not be justified in giving an estimate of
what the Cars would Cost you as material & labor are so fluctuating in
price at present. |
