Thos R Sharp Quartermaster

   Received at Raleigh. the 15th of January 1863, of Capt Thos R Sharp Assistant Quartermaster C. S. Army, Thirteen dollars and Eighty nine cents, in full of the above account.

{The printed form has the notation, to the left of the sum in the table, "Service removing Balt. & O. rails and machinery." The location is "Winchester" and the paying officer is "Capt. F(rank) P. Clark." All three of these printed items have been lined through and the words transcribed above have been added. It is clear that Capt. Clark, on duty as a Quartermaster in Winchester, was sufficiently involved in Capt. Sharp's removal of Baltimore & Ohio RR material that he had forms printed with that information on them.}
