| Will you please inform Major
Genl Magruder that there are 230,000 ft of timber at Beaumont which is
required for completing the connection between the Galveston &
Texas Central Rail Roads. {Galveston, Houston
& Henderson RR to the Houston & Texas Central RR} |
| I have used every exertion to
have said timber delivered in Houston and have failed in doing so, and
most respectfully request an order for the transportation of said
timber from Beaumont to Houston. |
| The Major Genl informed me
that he would attend to the matter, and to call his attention to the
same. please send copy of order to Supt T. & N. O. R. R. {Texas
& New Orleans RR} |
