   I certify that during the movement of the enemy this part of the State, on or about the 18th of Nov 1864, that, Maj A Boyd being absent from this Post, at Macon Ga to procure funds, I took charge of the Quarter Master Wagons, Stores &c, and moved with them down the Georgia RR towards Augusta, and that finding that the Wagons were too heavily loaded, a lot of clothing & other QM Stores were shipped by Rail from Barnet Ga in an open car, as no other could be procured, and that either on the way to Augusta or at the Depot at that place the following QM Stores were either lost or stolen, To Wit
(15) Fifteen Pairs Shoes
