| Impress without delay as a matter
imperative necessity from Amelia Co ninety slaves, from Lunenberg Co.
eighty slaves, from Nottoway Co. seventy slaves and from Prince Edward
Co. sixty slaves, all to be employed on the repairs of the R&D RRd.
Send an officer of the 1st Engr Regt. to each of these counties to
collect the slaves. Making appeals to the patriotism of the owners
& inviting the assistance of the sheriffs. |
