Sir,
   You will hold your whole force in readiness to move tomorrow up to Richmond ??? th? ??? of the ??? will be sent down to bring them up.
   They will bring with them their framing tools, cross cut saws, chisels &c & will be in readiness to proceed to the South Anna bridge on the {Virginia} Central R. R. with one weeks rations. Send a man up at once to obtain the rations if you have not a sufficient quantity on hand.
   The men in charge of Mr. Williamson will report to J. R. Childes Va. Central RR shop and should be ready to leave Richmond by six o'clock a. m. tomorrow.
   You can leave two or three men to take charge of your camp and the bridge light. I have directed the bearer to hand this letter to Mr. Williamson if you are absent. In that case Mr. Williamson will see the order carried out.
