inst asking authority to have a portion of the scrap iron belonging to
your company subject to the order of Government, re-rolled into
merchantable form for the purpose of purchasing supplies in Ga &c
has been recently approved by Col C. F. M. Garnett and verbally
consented to by the Hon Secretary of War. This letter may be regarded
as your authority to carry out your wishes on this subject. |
