| I send enclosed an order on the Superintendent
of the Penitentiary for the two dozen axes required for the use of the
Piedmont R. R. Please inform Capt Myers that the axes manufactured at
the Penitentiary are of a quality equal and generally superior to the
English axes which are on hand. |
