| Your letter of 27 ultimo. enclosing a copy
of the proposition made by you to Genl W. P. Bocock, Prest. Ala &
Miss Rivers RR Co. in reference to the rebuilding of the Rail road
bridge over the Tombigbee at McDowell's landing has been recd and
submitted by me to the Hon Sec of War. I am now instructed by him to
inform you that the proposition in its present form is approved by
him, as also the suggestions contained in your letter to this Bureau.
A copy of the paper as endorsed by the Hon. Secretary is herewith
enclosed. |
