| Your letter of January 28th addressed to
Col. Gilmer in regards to the mortgage proposed by your road and
mentioning that the amended charter had been forwarded, has been
received. |
| The charter has arrived and been submitted
to the proper authorities. The Secretary of War has decided that the
mortgage to be satisfactory must be on your whole road. In
accordance with your request, the first partial mortgage has been
returned to Judge Thos. A. Walker Your Prest. through Capt. L. P.
Grant. |
