| Your letter of the 1st inst. to the
President, respecting the construction of the R. Rd. between Blue
Mountain, Ala. and Rome, Geo. has been referred to this Bureau. Capt.
L. P. Grant of Atlanta, Geo., an officer of the Provl. Engineer Corps,
has been selected to represent the Government, and will doubtless give
any propositions emanating from the Company you represent, due
consideration. He is now somewhere on the line of the proposed road
and can be heard of probably at Rome, Geo. |
