| 13. No cotton will be transported over that
portion of the T. & N. O. R. R {Texas & New
Orleans RR} west of the Trinity River until the Railroad Bridge
over the Trinity {near Liberty Depot} is
completed. Lt. Col. Showalter will detail from his command a Lieut. one
Sergeant, one Corporal and ten (10) men and station them at the Bridge
to enforce this order. |
| Quartermasters and Commissaries
will furnish necessary transportation and subsistence. |

| 15. Maj. George R. Wilson Engr Corps is
hereby directed to construct a Bridge over the White Oak Bayou, to
complete the connections of the Galveston and Central Junction Rail Road
{Galveston & Houston Junction RR}. The work
will be pushed with the utmost rapidity. Major Wilson will be under the
orders of Maj. Rowley, Chf. Engr of the Dist. and will report progress
semi-weekly to these Head Quarters, through the Chief Engineer. |
