| You are authorized to say to
planters, and other owners of slaves in Harrison Co., that if they will
hire to the S. P. R. R. Co. one fourth of their able-bodied hands
between the ages of 18 & 45 -- they will be granted an exemption from
further call, so long a their hands are engaged upon the Rail Road. Your
certificate will be required to every application for exemption. |
