| It having been brought to the
notice of the Comdg General that rice is being shipped away from the
city, he has to request, in view of impending events, that the several
Rail Roads leading from this city will not transport rice or other
subsistence stores, except upon the special permit of Maj. H. C. Guerion
Chief of the Commissary, as it may be a matter of vital importance that
all Subsistence should be retained within the city limits for the use of
all concerned. |
