General,
It is understood that there is a quantity of railroad iron of the Brunswick & Florida R. R. taken up from the Brunswick end of the road at a place called Tebeauville which can be better spared for the completion of the Savannah & Charleston R. Road {Charleston & Savannah RR} than that at Doctortown. Therefore the Commanding Genl has granted permission to President Hasell to call on you for a certain amount of the iron at Tebeauville not to exceed 3000 feet. The Company of course will have to arrange for the transportation though every possible facility should be extended by the Qr Masters Dept of your Dist as it is important to have the work on the Savannah& Charleston Road completed as early as practicable.
Respectfully
Your Obdt Servt
Thomas Jordan
