| I have the honor to
acknowledge the receipt of your letter, and in answer I am directed by
the Lieut Genl Comdg to inform you that (30) thirty barrels can not be
spared, as we have on hand at Columbus only (1720) seventeen hundred and
twenty gallons oil. Not more than (5) five barrels can under any
circumstances be spared. |
