The Maj. Genl. Commdg directs you to use all possible
dispatch in completing the Telegraphic line to Waldo & Gainesville, and
arrange for its being properly kept up afterwards. The line to Waldo is
regarded as more especially important at this time, on tomorrow an
instrument will be sent to Waldo with an Operator & Communication opened
from that point. So important is this that you are authorized if it is
necessary for the speedy completion of the work, to obtain from the
President of the Fla. R. R. the use of an Engine or Crank of that Road,
for which the Q. M. will pay. |
