In my communication to you last Friday from Houston, I said the additional order, with regard to my Instructions about detailing Militia for the Rail Road and Plantations &c, it would stop the running of the B. B. B. & C. R Road. I meant to convey the fact, that if all the employees of the Road that were drafted had to join their companies and be marched to Houston, before they could be detailed and the Commanding General approval obtained, that during this time the Road would be without hands to work it, the letter I find from a rough copy I ??? did not fully explain, what I intended, no other possible inquiry could accrue, but delay, and extra trouble to the General who has now in my opinion too much mental and physical labour. *****
I have the honor to be
Very Respectfully Your Obt Svt
