NA, QM 3/29/1862

Quartermaster General's Department
Richmond, March 29th 1862

{no address information in the records}

Sir,
   I respectfully submit that the detention of the cars of the Central Rail road Company at Gordonsville, occasions great inconvenience and embarrassment to the Quarter Master Department and interferes, materially, with the transportation of troops and supplies.
   I request, therefore, in view of the demands of the public interest, that a sufficient number of the cars, belonging to that company be transferred to Richmond, as soon as it can possibly be done.
A. C. Myers, Q. M. Genl
