| Dear Sir, |
| We wrote Col Fain some days ago, asking
his permission to a sale of the Engine last delivered your Company {the
Rogersville & Jefferson RR} for which nothing has been
paid. We requested an immediate reply, but have heard nothing from
him. We have carried that debt a long time & really think if the
Company cant pay us they ought to give us the option of selling that
Engine to some other Road. |
| We wish you & he would look into the
question & let us hear when you can pay the amt. of our assessment
or are disposed to allow a resale of the Engine. |
