| Dear Sir, |
| While so many trains are running here, I
am forced to keep 4 hands nearly all the time at the Pump, as without
any Extra trains we have to Water 5 Engines nearly every day, & it
is somewhat expensive as I have to hire extra hands to do it. Ask if
some of the Engines cannot take water at Port Walthall, or you can
make any arrangements by which we can get our water without pump by
hand. |
