   An extra meeting of the Board of Directors was held here this day at the call of the President.
   Present: R. L. Singletary Esq Presdt and Messrs Bee, Chamberlain, Furman, Gourdin, Richards, Sass & His Hon. the Mayor.
   The President stated that he had invited this meeting to submit a proposition from the So Ca {South Carolina RR} Railroad Co in relation to the purchase of the iron now being removed, which is as follows:
   "The So Ca R. R. Co. will agree to purchase the Rails, Spikes & Chairs which the Charleston & Savannah RRoad may desire to sell, at their value in 1860 or say $55 pr ton a reasonable allowance being made for the wear of the rails. And in payment thereof will give their Bonds to be made due within such period, after the lapse of 12 months after the termination of the War, as may be agreed upon, say two, three or more years. Or they will give back an equivalent amt of rails at any time after the lapse of 12 months as aforesaid. Interest at the rate of 7% to be paid Semi-Annually on the value of the iron until returned."
 
   Mr. Furman then offered the following resolutions which were adopted:
   "Resolved, that it is expedient to sell our iron to the So Ca Railroad Co."
   "Resolved, that the arrangement for the sale be based on the return of the Iron after the War."
 
   Also, on motion it was referred to the President to close the contract with the So Ca RR Co.
